If you have any questions about estrogen, hair removal on face and chest, feminizing facial surgery, breast implants, or anything else pertaining to your femininization process, please ask myself or the other She-Male ladies or Transexual ladies here on the boards.

Thank You Johnette, I'm using a herbal program for now as you know each littlle step is a big decision, but the results have been much quicker than I had anticipated. Well, every where except around the shouders anyway. Does hormone replacement affect different areas of the body at different times? or will some things just have to be accepted? I don't wear anything with thin staps because of this. Thanks - K
Angela
I'm on estrogen and it effects everything!
It basically gives you all of the secondary female characteristics; it creates growth in your breasts, widens the hips and rear end, it reduces hair in face and chest, creates smoother skin, softens your body. It does everything little by little, it isn't like it just does one thing first, it sort of does everything as you go. The amount of estrogen you are on needs to be determined by a doctor. Don't try it yourself, it is powerful what you are doing, it could be bad for your health, if you take the wrong amount of estrogen for yourself. Make certain you are in a doctor's care when taking estrogen.
Gradually you will develop a female body.
Estrogen also effects your male sexuality. People that say otherwise are not being truthful to you. Your male sexuality is diminshed by taking estrogen. You will become over a period of time less potent if you are on estrogen. That is why many She-Male ladies have somewhat limp and feminized "ladysticks", and why some people refer to their femininzed male genetalia as "ladysticks". You can still come, my man still gives me handjobs or oral sex, but I am not as virile as I was before I started taking the estrogen.
However, most transexual women are into a submissive feminine role in their relationship with their man anyway, and recieve sex from him. Many men who date She-male ladies also like a feminized limp ladystick on their She-Male lady, they find it sexy and adorable, after all, we are femininzed sissys, we are feminized girly-girls, we are ladies, and we are in a feminine submissive role with our loving men.
My man Jay loves my beautiful woman's face, my beautiful woman's breasts and hips, my long silky blonde hair, my silk and chiffon skirts, dresses and scarves, my earrings dangling from my pierced ears, my lipsticked lips kissing his lips or careesing his big beautiful virile manstick, and my limp, sissified, feminized ladystick.
I am a sissified, effeminate man who has been turned into a feminine, submissive, loving woman, a beautiful lady. All of those things turn my man on, and he takes me as his lady, and pleasures himself, and pleasures me.
Men who want their She-Male ladies to be ultra virile studs and to recieve sex from them like a gay man does from another man, are basically bisexual or gay men.
My handsome man Jay is more of a masculine man, who prefers the man's role in a relationship, the dominant role, just as I prefer the feminine, submissive woman's role in the relationship. Jay is basically a hetrosexual man who just prefers transexual women. Many T-ladies prefer masculine men who are in the male role in the relationship, just as the majority of genetic women prefer that in a man.
I love being with a handsome, masculine man, who treats me as a lady, and makes love to me as his lady.
I have no desire to be with a sissy gay boy, who wants me to be a stud and penetrate his rear end and give him anal sex that way. I am the lady in the relationship, I am the one who is feminine. Most transexual women are not in the least interested in bisexual men or gay men who want to be dominated by us. We are the ladies in the relationship. We are the feminine and submissive beautiful women.
My man Jay takes me as his lady, from behind, and of course I give him oral sex on occasion. When I am castarated and given a beautiful vagina, I will have sex as a genetic woman does with a man. Instead of recieving anal sex and giving oral sex, I will recieve sex the traditional way a woman does from a man, and of course I will give my darliing, handsome man oral sex as well. I love to please him, and he will please me.

As far as hair on face and chest goes, the estrogen itself will not usually cause all of it to go away, you need to go to an electrolysis clinic and have your hair on face and chest removed with laser or electrolysis.
The people at the electrolysis clinic will determine what method of hair removal is best for you, depending upon your skin type and other factors. It should be done professionally, as should all aspects of your feminization. It does cost money, you can't do it on the cheap.
If you are over 25, you may not get as large of women's breasts as you want either, just with estrogen. You might need to have breast implants as I have had, and may transexual women have had. I have younger transexual women who are friends of mine who transitioned in their late teens or early twenties, who have grown women's breasts large enough with estrogen, some of them have been fully transitioned to women, have had their legal status changed to female, and are married to men and have adopted children. Because they have " natural" women's breasts with estrogen, they can even breast feed their adopted babies! But it is easier for younger transexual women to grow full sized women's breasts with estrogen.

Your voice also needs to be trained to speak feminine as a woman. The estrogen by itself won't change your voice that much. I have taken lessons on speaking feminine as a woman, and it really helped. You can basically learn to speak as an alto woman.
The facial feminizing surgery is very important. Once you are given a woman's face it will really help in your confidence to live as a woman, and be accepted a a woman in socoety. If you look at photos of She-Males, you can usually tell which ones have had facial feminization surgery, they basicaly look like women after the surgery, some of them very beautiful and feminine women.
_______________________________________
Sexual reassignment surgery isn't necessary to look like a woman, act like a woman, or pass as a woman in society. However to be legally a woman, you need to be castarated and given a beautiful vagina. Some transexual women prefer to stay as She-Males, they look female in every way, except their male genetalia, which of course no one sees except their lover. Other transexual women get the sexual reassignment surgery.
It could depend upon what you want done, and also the man you are with, if he prefers you as a She-Male woman or as a complete Transexual woman. In order to have your legal status changed to female, which of course would allow you to marry a man, and even adopt children in some states or countries, because you are considered then a hetrosexual lady, you need the sexual reasignment surgery.
You may remember the famous transexual woman "Chablis" in the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". She has been on estrogen for years, has a woman's face and woman's breasts, she lives as a woman and is accepted as such, and a beautiful and feminine woman, she dates men, but she never had her sexual reassignment surgery done, she is a She-Male lady.
Other transexual women, like the famous singer, the beautiful and feminine Dana International, are not only on estrogen, and been completely feminized, but also have had sexual reassignment surgery and had their legal status changed to female.
So it just depends.
I consider She-Males as well as complete transexual women, to be transexual women, they look like women, and live as women. The only difference is that the She-Male lady has kept her "ladystick" and testicles, while the complete transexual lady has had her ladystick and testicles removed by sexual reassignment surgery and replaced with a beautiful vagina.
Either way, to me they are T-ladies, transexual women. I am a transexual woman now, and live, look, and act like a lady. I just haven't had my SRS yet.
____________________________________________________
It really depends what you want, and what kind of man you are with, or want to be with.
If you want to marry a man, and possibly adopt children, and become a wife and a mother, you would need to get the SRS, and get your legal status changed to female.
If you are a She-Male lady or a complete Transexual lady, either way, you will also need a new wardrobe of women's clothes of course. But that is the fun part! I have many of my skirts, dresses, blouses, and fashion scarves made for me by my seamstress Kathy. Or I buy them at women's stores. I am very much a girly-girl and am usually in a skirt, women's blouses, dresses, I wear very feminine clothes. If you want to wear high heels, you will have to learn how to walk in them. And I shave my legs and underarms of course. I am a lady. wink.gif smile.gif
___________________________________________________________________________
As far as hairstyles go, some transexual ladies wear short, cute women's hairstyles like short bob cuts or short pixie 'dos. Other transexual women like myself, wear their hair long, my long blonde tresses are two-thirds of the way down my back. Just like with genetic women, your choice of clothes and hairstyles are your decision, just make sure you look feminine and ladylike! Estrogen will stop any male pattern balding and will make your hair more beautiful, which is another advantageof taking estrogen. I am fortunate that I have no balding at all, I have a full head of beautiful, silky, straight, long blonde hair, which I take very good care of. Iplan on growing my beautiful long tresses to at least tailbone length.
I am also very into jewelry, I wear earrings in my pierced ears, sometimes necklaces, and braclets, I wear only women's jewelry of course. I like fine jewelry, espcially gold and diamonds.
You need to learn how to do your makeup also. My man Jay loves watching me put on my makeup and shaving my legs and underarms. I never go out without at least eye makeup on, I always wear eyeliner, and sometimes wear mascara and other makeup. I often wear lipstick or lipgloss.
Part of the fun of being a genetic lady or a transexual lady is dolling yourself up very feminine! wink.gif
____________________________________________________
As far as dating men goes, some transexual women date women, they are lesbians, some T-ladies are bisexuals, but the majority of transexual women date men, just as the majority of genetic women do.
Really, once you make the transition from male to female, and become completely femininzed, you become like a genetic lady, except of course we can't get pregnant and give birth to children, but in every other way, we live, look, and act as women. We can even get married to men, and adopt children, and be wives and moms. We are women, we are beautiful, feminine ladies. The more classy, feminine, and ladylike you are, and the more you know how to treat a man, and make him feel masculine and handsome, because you are beautiful and feminine, the better chance you have of being with a classy, handsome, masculine man who will treat you like a lady. wink.gif smile.gif
Ladystick Lover
Please Johnette, tell me more about how Jay loves to suck on your juicy ladystick! I get so hot when you talk about Jay working your tool.
Angela
Yes, Jay enjoys that. And I rather enjoy pleasuring him also! wink.gif biggrin.gif

By the end of next winter though, Jay will be pleasuring my beautiful new vagina instead of my ladystick.
I will continue to pleasure him orally of course, along with our other sex. Jay has the most beautiful, big, virile manstick.
I do love him, for many reasons. He is very good to me, he loves me as much as I love him, and he treats me as a lady! I know I will love being his beautiful wife! wink.gif smile.gif

Hi Kristy, and thank you wink.gif This is a great site! biggrin.gif Boy Johnette you sure discussed a lot of issues with your thoughts!! For myself I come from mostly a type III background involved in athletics male oriented physical labor and a physyque most men do envy sad.gif It's been an awful lot of work just reducing the muscle mass and shifting what little body fat available there is toward it's proper placement. Being rather gifted dexterously both movement and demeanor have occured quite naturally espescially since a lessening anxiety is happening with estrogen. Quite a lot like makeup and coordinates comes with practice and advice from a few GG friends and lots more is covered by medical insurance, but things like speech cosmetic surgeries and hair removal, which I chose electrolysis over laser and can't imagine why anyone would get a brazilian blink.gif, have the additional issue of expense to overcome. It's certainly not easy being a girl.
Angela
I know Karen. It can be expensive being made into a beautiful, feminine transexual lady.
_______________________
Some transexual women pay for it a little as they go.
____________________________________________
I am fortunate in that I have a man who pays for everything for me in this regard. He also pays for my beauty salon appointments. I know that not every beautiful transexual lady is with a wonderful handsome man who pays for her beauty appointments or her beautiful feminization.

This discussion reminds me of an article by my friend Lori at TGGuide.com, about financing gender reassignment and all the associated costs. It has some interesting points.

Thank you girls! Yes Johnette the little at a time approach is how the herbals and electrolosis were chosen first being so costly over such a vast time period and able to be done while stilll presenting as male. That also pertains to the article about finance that Kristy provided from her freind Lori. Kristy you couldn't have known how pertinent that article is at this very moment! A likely life altering event just knocked me flat on my fanny which is okay being somewhat overdue for a step backward to reasses things anyway. Finance of course is an issue though not nearly as concerning so much as the other developmental requirements. Working in a predominantly male oriented field where presenting as a female would be indefendable and, qute franky in fact, extremely dangerous (see the article @ www.tranniegear.com about "SAFETY TIPS" if I knew how to actually link addresses that's what I would have done) really my most perplexing problem has been creating time for further growth. Well, maybe accepting help too which are all positions I put myself in. Now while it would seemingly appear that I have just been put out of business this does look like the perfect opportunity to change careers ( can I live on $6.00 an hour or can I supplement?) I really like the practical down-to-earth thinking outside the box approach Lori has taken. Her ideas have caused a flood of thoughts and surprising awarenes of my own situation that this very well may be the cataclysmic series of events guiding new direction for the next period of growth. Thank you both so much. What would be a good point of progress to finally shed the male genre and present full time in female form? That's more of a future question not looking for calendar time, just some clues to watch for as development transpires. On the 12th (only ten days now!!) my first ever "full dress" outing will take place at a local club for an exciting test and most definitely learning experience!! _ Karen
Angela
That is a wonderful advice Kristy!

Karen,
Even when I was a man, before I had any of my feminization done, I went out with my ex-wife Monique, and with men I dated, when I was dressed as a woman. I was a drag queen, and I loved dressing as a woman, and actually Monique loved it too. She loved me dressed as a woman and it didn't bother her any that I was gay and went on dates with men. She loves femme gay men and transexual ladies.
I was bisexual and dressed as a woman for years before I decided that I was a gay femme man and that I wanted to transition to being a transexual woman. Even though I am divorced from Monique, she is still one of my best friends and she gets along well with my man Jay.
I didn't start living and dressing as a woman full time until I had some of my femininzation done, until I was on estrogen.
I did start living as a woman full time before I had my facial femininzation surgery and before I had completed my facial and chest hair removal, and before I got my breast implants.
But the reason I could more or less pass as a woman even before my femininzation was completed was because I lost weight and became slender, and wore silicone breast forms and wore hip and rear end padding, and learned feminine mannerisms, and talked, looked, and acted as a lady, and was very good with my makeup, and had beautiful long blonde hair, had pierced ears and wore earrings, and had my nails done at a beauty salon and wore nail polish, and I shaved my legs and underarms, and wore beautiful women's skirts, blouses, dresses, and I wore women's perfume, and I carried a purse, etc...
So even before my femininzation was complete, I could pass as a woman. However I became a much more beautiful, feminine woman and could completely pass as a woman when I had my facial and chest hair removed, and had my facial feminization surgery, and my breast implants, and was on female hormones for awhile.
______________________________________
The most important aspects to becoming a woman are obviously estrogen, you need to take the female hormones, and please go to a doctor, don't do it yourself, it can be dangerous. The estrogen works much better than herbs and will reduce your body hair, allow you to grow women's breasts (which you can suppliment with breast implants), it will make your skin smoother and softer, it will make your hips and rear end more feminine and shapely, it is necessary for male to female transformation, but it has to be done by a doctor, do not try and do it yourself. Many transexual women have become sick or died by taking female hormones off the street, or from the underground market. Spend the money, go to a doctor. That is the only way it is safe. Otherwise don't do it.
___________________________________________
Another important aspect to becoming a woman is to be given a woman's face. You need tp have your facial hair completely removed and then have femininzation facial surgery. There is nothing that will improve your confidence in being a woman more than having facial femininzation surgery, and you may need work on your nose, chin, jawline, forehead, it can be extensive surgery, but it is so worth it having a beautiful, feminine woman's face. I had my facial femininzation surgery, and I also had a few wrinkles removed with laser. I am mid-40s and still techinally male until I have my sexual ressignment surgery, but I look just like a 35 year old woman, and a very beautiful and feminine lady. That is one of the most important factors in passing as a woman and being made into a woman.
Very few men can fully transition to being a woman withhout facial femininzation surgery. They just don't look like women without having a woman's beautiful, feminine face. You need to do that if you really want to become a woman, and go to a reputable surgeon who has experience with facial femininzation surgery.
There are many such surgeons in North America that can give you a woman's face. There are many surgeons doing femininztion facial surgery. After all there are 500,000 Shemale women or transexual women in North America and there are several million in the world, who have transitioned from male to female, and that is not including draq queens or transvestites, there are many more of them. I am refering to those who have transitioned from male to female, who have female faces, breasts, on estrogen, who live full time as women, who have been made into women. Us She-Male and transexual women are not common but there are many of us. In North America, one out of every three hundered and fifty women are transexual women.
____________________________________________________
In Bangkok, Thailand, one out of every twenty women are transexual women. One of the best places to go for feminnzation facial surgery, and sexual reassignment surgery is Bangkok, Thailand. There are more men changed into transexual women there than anywhere else on earth, and transexual women from all over the world go there to become transitioned into beautiful, feminine women.
Bangkok, Thailand is known for it's beautiful she-male ladyboy women, and it's transexual women, who are some of the most beautiful, feminine women in the world, either genetic women or transexual women. Both the genetic women and transexual women of Thailand are gorgeous, beautiful, very feminine women that handsome, masculine men love.
They have wonderful accomodations for beautiful, feminine transexual women and their handsome husbands in Thailand. The transexual women there have first class hotels who cater to them and their husbands, they have transexual women fashion models in fashion shows, they have beauty salons for them, and nightclubs for them.
When my future husband Jay takes me to Bangkok next Feburary for my sexual reassignment surgery, I will be castarated and given a beautiful vagina, and then I will recuperate in a hotel near the hospital and the doctor, and then Jay and I are taking a vacation there after I become a woman. We will see the Buddhist temples, go to restuaraunts and eat delicious Thai food, I will go to the beauty salon and get my long hair deep-conditioned and the color touched up on it, get a facial, my nails done, a massage, the works. We will go to fashion shows, to nightclubs. We really want to have an enjoyable vacation there.
Then I am going to have my legal status changed to female and then Jay and I are going to get married.
Another aspect of your male to female transition is breast implants, because your women's breasts might not grow large enough just on estrogen, especially if you are over the age of 25. Some of the younger transexual women I know who transitioned in their teens and early 20s have grown large enough women's breasts on female hormones, and some of them had their status changed to female, married men, and adopted babies and can even breast feed their babies with their women's breasts. One negative of taking estrogen and having women's breasts is that you can possibly get breasts cancer, because you are transformed into a woman and have woman's breasts by the estrogen. So you need to have checkups just as women do. The estrogen in many ways turns you into a female. Transexual women become like genetic women in just about every way except we cannot get pregnant obviously.
____________________________________________________________
If you do transiition to being a woman, you have to be honest with the men you date. Some won't care if you are a genetic woman or a transexual woman, but others might care. If you love a man and he loves you, then you need to let him know if you are a transexual woman, if for no other reason than he might want to have children with you, and obviously you would need to adopt. I had children when I was a man with women, so I already have four daughters. My future husband Jay and I have discussed adopting after I legally become a woman, but we probably won't, because I am in my 40s, he is just in his late 30s, but I already have children, my daughters, (who now regard me as another mom, no longer a dad, since I have transitioned into being a woman. I get along well with my daughters and they accept me as a woman).
Once you are on estrogen for awhile, you become less virile as a man, and you can also become infertile as a man. So you have to really be sure you want to be a woman, before you start taking estrogen, and before you have facial femininzation surgery. Because those two things in particullar, will turn you into a woman. You have to be sure you want to be a woman, live as a woman, have female mannerism, dress as a woman, act like a woman, look like a woman, and be accpeted by others as a woman, etc.. If you are convinced you would prefer to be a woman instead of a man, it can be an eciting, wonderful, beautiful, loving experience being transitioned into a beautiful, feminine lady. I love being a lady! wink.gif
